Flat-foot Shifting
FLAT-FOOT SHIFT lets you keep your foot flat on the accelerator while changing gears, to minimise your gearchange time and keep up engine speed and torque ready for acceleration in the next gear.
By reducing the engine torque and controlling the air-fuel ratio during gearshifts, the engine, clutch and drivetrain are not unnecessarily stressed. This is particularly important on forced-induction vehicles where the power output can be substantially increased.
